He has over forty years of experience in both technical and management positions with major oil and gas companies. From 1996 to 2000, he was Director of the Maguire Energy Institute at Southern Methodist University. He has held academic positions as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas at Dallas, Southern Methodist University and Texas Woman's University. He is a published author with papers on trends in the oil and gas industry and innovations in business planning. He has presented papers at numerous industry conferences and serves as a oil and gas resource to local and national media.
